Iowa High School Football - Assumption edged by Wahlert
October 10, 2025: Davenport, IA 52804 The Wahlert Golden Eagles got by the host Assumption Knights football squad by a margin of 27-20 in Friday's league test.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Vernon for a 3A District 3 test on Friday, October 17. Wahlert will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 33-24 league loss to Central DeWitt (DeWitt, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-2.
With the defeat, Assumption drops to 4-3 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA) to meet the Stormin' Pointers in a 3A District 3 test on Friday, October 17. The Stormin' Pointers come into the test with a record of 2-5. Center Point-Urbana won 50-14 in their recent league challenge against Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA)
