The Stringer Red Devils football team (Stringer, MS), was crushed 49-12 in Friday's league bout with the host Taylorsville Tartars (Taylorsville, MS)

With the win, Taylorsville advances its record to 2-4 on the season. The Tartars host Resurrection Catholic (Pascagoula, MS) to encounter the Eagles in a 1A Region 8 bout on Friday, October 10. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Resurrection Catholic lost 28-7 in their recent league bout against Richton (Richton, MS)

The Red Devils now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Wayne Academy for a non-league bout on Friday, October 10. Stringer will encounter a Jaguars team coming off a 38-7 non-league loss to Tri-County Academy (Flora, MS). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-4.
