North Carolina High School Soccer - Carolina Day nudges Hickory Grove Christian
October 3, 2025: Asheville, NC 28803 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Carolina Day Wildcats (Asheville, NC) and the visiting Hickory Grove Christian Lions (Charlotte, NC), saw Carolina Day's soccer squad hold off Hickory Grove Christian by a count of 1-0.
The Wildcats (5-9) will now prepare for their battle against Christ School (Arden, NC). The Greenies come into the NCISAA Carolina match with a 14-1 record. In their last match, Christ School nipped Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Rabun Gap, GA), 2-1, in a league match.
The Lions now sport a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they host Arborbrook Christian Academy for a non-league match on Monday, October 6. Hickory Grove Christian will meet a Falcons team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Sheets Memorial Christian (Lexington, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 2-2.
