Virginia High School Football - South Lakes can't hold off Herndon

October 4, 2025: Herndon, VA 20170

The Herndon Hornets got by the visiting South Lakes Seahawks football team by a score of 23-20 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets play the McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA) in a Liberty test, on Saturday, October 11. Herndon will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Highlanders come into the test with a 1-5 record after their 31-28 non-league loss to Robinson (Fairfax, VA).

With the defeat, South Lakes drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Seahawks host Oakton (Vienna, VA) to meet the Cougars in a District 1 test on Friday, October 10. The Cougars go into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Oakton lost 35-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Langley (McLean, VA)
