Jasper Vikings (Jasper, AL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Montgomery Catholic Knights (Montgomery, AL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings (28-8) will now prepare for their challenge against McGill-Toolen (Mobile, AL). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league challenge with a 24-2 record. In their last challenge, McGill-Toolen edged Hoover (Hoover, AL), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Knights meet the Auburn Tigers (Auburn, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 4. Montgomery Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 21-11 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 18-10 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Smiths Station (Smiths, AL).
