Miller Cardinals (Miller, MO) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Lamar Tigers (Lamar, MO), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals (15-3) will now prepare for their challenge against New Covenant Academy (Springfield, MO). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 18-3 record. In their last challenge, New Covenant Academy beat School of the Ozarks (Point Lookout, MO), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers play the Nevada Tigers (Nevada, MO) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, October 7. Lamar will attempt to advance on its 19-7 season record. The Tigers go into the game with a 17-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Aurora (Aurora, MO).
