October 5, 2024: West Liberty, IA 52776 West Liberty Comets (West Liberty, IA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings (Decorah, IA), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, West Liberty improves its record to 18-9 on the season. The Comets travel to Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA) to face the Warriors in a non-league test on Saturday, October 5. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 16-11. Wapsie Valley lost 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Jesup (Jesup, IA)
The Vikings now own a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Charles City for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 8. Decorah-North Winneshiek will face a Comets squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Crestwood (Cresco, IA). The Comets record now stands at 15-5.
