Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Germantown Academy Patriots (Fort Washington, PA) and the visiting Pennsbury Falcons (Fairless Hills, PA), observed Germantown Academy's volleyball team hold off Pennsbury by a count of 3-2.

The Patriots (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against Academy-Notre Dame De Namur (Villanova, PA). The go into the Inter-Academic battle with a 7-4 record.

The Falcons now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Council Rock South for a Suburban One - National battle on Friday, October 10. Pennsbury will encounter a Golden Hawks squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Neshaminy (Langhorne, PA). The Golden Hawks record now stands at 2-2.
