Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC) followers left the game satisfied Monday as they saw their volleyball team run past the host Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC), 3-0 in a league outing.

The Mountaineers now have a 6-12 record. They play next when they host Madison for a Western Highlands 2A/3A outing on Thursday, October 9. Mitchell will play a Patriots team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Owen (Black Mountain, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 8-12.

With the loss, Mountain Heritage moves to 4-13 on the season.
