Maine High School Football - Winslow drops to Cheverus
October 8, 2022: Winslow, ME 04901 In Saturday's non-league game, the Cheverus Stags (Portland, ME) football team knocked off the host Winslow Black Raiders (Winslow, ME), by a final score of 28-13.
The Stags (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Leavitt (Turner, ME). The Hornets come into the C South game with a 7-0 record. In their last game, Leavitt toppled Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME), 21-20, in a league game.
The Black Raiders now hold a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hermon for a C North game on Friday, October 14. Winslow will battle a Hawks team coming off a 18-0 non-league win over Oak Hill (Sabattus, ME). The Hawks record now stands at 4-2.
