North Carolina High School Soccer - Dixon nudges Croatan
October 8, 2024: Newport, NC 28570 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC) and the host Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC), saw Dixon's soccer squad hold off Croatan by a count of 2-1.
The Bulldogs (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Pirates enter the non-league battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Swansboro tipped West Carteret (Morehead City, NC), 4-3, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Cougars battle the Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 10. Croatan will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 1-7 record after their 0-0 non-league White Oak (Jacksonville, NC).
