Ohio High School Volleyball - Northview over Whitmer
October 8, 2024: Toledo, OH 43613 In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Northview Wildcats volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Whitmer Panthers.
The Wildcats (8-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Anthony Wayne (Whitehouse, OH). The Generals come into the Northern Lakes challenge with a 19-1 record. In their last challenge, Anthony Wayne beat Perrysburg (Perrysburg, OH), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Match Summary
TOLEDO - As the final week of the 2024 regular season gets underway, the Wildcats traveled down Alexis Road in a Buckeye Division match-up with the Whitmer Panthers and it was the Cats victorious in straight sets to move to 8-12 on the year, 4-3 in the NLL Buckeye Division.
Leading for Northview was sophomore middle blocker, Frankie Ramsdell-Washington with 13 kills, hitting .480 while recording and tying a school record with 7 blocks. Also leading for the Wildcats was junior outside hitter, Tali Twigg with 9 kills, hitting .238, and 4 aces; senior outside hitter, Zoe Denny, with 6 kills; and senior middle blocker, Zoey Johnson, and junior opposite, Bri Langendefer, both with 4 kills. Sophomore setter, Alayna Sauer was masterful a double-double with 34 assists, 10 digs, and 4 blocking assists.
The Cats wrap up NLL play on Thursday as they travel to Anthony Wayne.
