In Thursday's league challenge, the host Buckingham Knights volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Prince Edward County Eagles.

The Knights (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA). The Statesmen enter the James River challenge with a 4-9 record. In their last challenge, Randolph-Henry was beaten by Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA), 3-0, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 1-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Amelia County for a James River test on Wednesday, October 15. Prince Edward County will face a Raiders squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Nottoway (Nottoway, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 11-3.
