The West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) football overcame the visiting New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS), 31-0 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Green Wave face the Cleveland Central Wolves (Cleveland, MS) in a 5A Region 1 bout, on Friday, October 8. West Point will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Wolves enter the bout with a 3-2 record after their 25-14 league win over Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS).

The Trojans (3-2) will now prepare for their bout against Greenville (Greenville, MS). The Hornets enter the 5A Region 1 bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Greenville was toppled by Columbus (Columbus, MS), 28-6, in a league bout.
