Rhode Island High School Soccer - Coventry knocks off Providence Country Day
October 1, 2024: Coventry, RI 02816 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI) and the visiting Providence Country Day Knights (East Providence, RI), saw Coventry's soccer squad triumph over Providence Country Day by a count of 8-0.
The Oakers (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Prout (Wakefield, RI). The Crusaders enter the Division 2 battle with a 8-1 record. In their last battle, Prout notched a victory over Middletown (Middletown, RI), 1-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Knights battle the St. Raphael Academy Saints (Pawtucket, RI) in a Division 3 battle, on Friday, October 4. Providence Country Day will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Saints enter the battle with a 9-0 record after their 7-3 league win over St. Mary Academy-Bay View (East Providence, RI).
