October 1, 2024: Cortez, CO 81321 Montezuma-Cortez Panthers (Cortez, CO) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Pagosa Springs Pirates (Pagosa Springs, CO), 2-1 in a league test.
With the win, Montezuma-Cortez advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Panthers host Bayfield (Bayfield, CO) to face the Wolverines in a test on Tuesday, October 8. The Wolverines go into the test with a record of 1-1. Bayfield lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM)
The Pirates now sport a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alamosa for a non-league contest on Saturday, October 5.
