Maine High School Soccer - Valley knocks off Dirigo
October 1, 2024: Dixfield, ME 04224 Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Valley Cavaliers (Bingham, ME) and the host Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME), saw Valley's soccer squad triumph over Dirigo by a count of 9-1.
The Cavaliers (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Pine Tree Academy (Freeport, ME). The Breakers enter the non-league battle with a 5-0 record. In their last battle, Pine Tree Academy ran past Dirigo (Dixfield, ME), 10-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Cougars confront the Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME) in a 8 Person - South battle, on Thursday, October 3. Dirigo will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Phoenix enter the battle with a 2-6 record after their 4-0 league loss to Telstar (Bethel, ME).
