October 1, 2024: Frederick, MD 21701 Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots (Frederick, MD) and the visiting Frederick Cadets (Frederick, MD), saw Governor Thomas Johnson's soccer squad hold off Frederick by a count of 3-2.
The Patriots (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Walkersville (Walkersville, MD). The Lions enter the non-league battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Walkersville was edged by Middletown (Middletown, MD), 1-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Cadets confront the North Hagerstown Hubs (Hagerstown, MD) in a Spires battle, on Monday, October 7. Frederick will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Hubs go into the challenge with a 9-0 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Williamsport (Williamsport, MD).
