Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) and the visiting Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC), observed Northeastern's volleyball team top Hertford County by a tally of 3-1.

The Eagles (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Currituck County (Barco, NC). The Knights enter the Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Currituck County was beaten by Camden County (Camden, NC), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Bears meet the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A contest, on Thursday, October 3.
