In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Ludlow Lions volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Belchertown Orioles.

The Lions (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Amherst-Pelham Regional (Amherst, MA). The Hurricanes come into the non-league challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Amherst-Pelham Regional edged Agawam (Agawam, MA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Orioles play the Holyoke Purple Knights (Holyoke, MA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, October 2. Belchertown will attempt to advance on its 2-8 season record.
