October 10, 2023: Lindside, WV 24951 The crowd at Tuesday's league test between the James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) and the visiting Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV), saw James Monroe's soccer squad triumph over Midland Trail by a count of 10-2.
The Mavericks now hold a 12-2 record. They play next when they host PikeView for a Coalfield AA test on Thursday, October 12. James Monroe will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 13-3.
With the loss, Midland Trail drops to 1-10 on the season. The Patriots travel to Braxton County (Sutton, WV) to meet the Eagles in a non-league test on Thursday, October 12. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 9-4. Braxton County won 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Riverside (Belle, WV)
