October 10, 2023: Floyd, NM 88118 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Elida Tigers (Elida, NM) and the host Floyd Broncos (Floyd, NM), saw Elida's volleyball squad beat Floyd by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Elida upgrades its record to 10-5 on the year. The Tigers host Hondo Valley (Hondo, NM) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 12. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Hondo Valley lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against New Mexico Military Institute (Roswell, NM)
The Broncos now own a 0-13 record. They play next when they travel to Gateway Christian for a 1A District 4 bout on Thursday, October 12. Floyd will play a Warriors squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Dora (Dora, NM). The Warriors record now stands at 12-2.
