October 10, 2023: Wolfe City, TX 75496 In Tuesday's league contest, the Wolfe City Wolves (Wolfe City, TX) volleyball squad nudged the visiting Whitewright Tigers (Whitewright, TX), by a margin of 3-2.

Match Summary
A match to not be missed in 2A District 14 as Wolfe City and Whitewright set to battle. Both teams played to their fullest as the match seesawed. Wolfe City Trailed 0-1 after the 1st set but regrouped and turned the tide to a 1-1 tie after the second set. Whitewright would once again press its advantage stealing set 3 20-25, but the Lady Wolves would not go quite and squared the match once again taking set 4 27-25 and forcing the 5th deciding set. Wolfe City started strong going up 4-0, but the lead would not last long as the lady Tigers tie the set 4-4. After a strategic time out by Wolfe City The Lady wolves would increase their led to 8-4 before Whitewright halted Wolfe Cities advances. The Lady Tigers would side out after only 1 serve. The Lady Wolves took to offense going on another 6 point run to 14-4, one point away from victory. Whitewright would side out and only get one more serve opportunity as a net violation would end the match securing the Victory for Wolfe City
