In Thursday's league game, the Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD) football team overcame the host Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD), by a tally of 42-14.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) in a Southern Maryland game, on Thursday, October 17. Patuxent will attempt to better on its 6-0 season record. The Patriots enter the game with a 4-2 record after their 49-28 league win over Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD).

The Hornets (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD). The Cavaliers enter the Southern Maryland game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Calvert notched a victory over Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD), 20-7, in a league game.
