October 10, 2024: Hoonah, AK 99829 Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Hoonah Braves (Hoonah, AK) and the visiting Petersburg Vikings (Petersburg, AK), observed Hoonah's volleyball team hold off Petersburg by a count of 2-1.
The Braves (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Wrangell (Wrangell, AK). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Wrangell got by Ketchikan (Ketchikan, AK), 3-2, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Vikings battle the Craig Panthers (Craig, AK) in a 2A Southeast contest, on Friday, October 11. Petersburg will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Panthers enter the contest with a 0-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Sitka (Sitka, AK).
