Virginia High School Football - Alleghany prevails Buffalo Gap

October 10, 2025: Swoope, VA 24479

In Friday's league match, the visiting Alleghany Cougars football squad scored a good 27-11 triumph over the Buffalo Gap Bison.

The Cougars (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA). The Green Hornets come into the Shenandoah match with a 5-1 record. In their last match, Wilson Memorial defeated Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA), 52-0, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Bison meet the Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) in a Shenandoah challenge, on Friday, October 17. Buffalo Gap will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Storm go into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 28-7 league loss to Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA).
