Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA), 22-21 in a league battle.

With the win, Alleghany advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Cougars travel to Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA) to play the Little Giants in a Shenandoah battle on Friday, September 26. The Little Giants go into the battle with a record of 2-2. Waynesboro won 28-21 in their recent league match against Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA)

Coming up next, the Storm meet the Waynesboro Little Giants (Waynesboro, VA) in a Shenandoah challenge, on Friday, October 3. Staunton will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record.
