The Melvindale Cardinals were victorious over the visiting Annapolis Cougars football team by a score of 26-6 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals face the Redford Union Panthers (Redford, MI) in a Western Wayne outing, on Friday, October 17. Melvindale will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Panthers come into the outing with a 5-2 record after their 24-7 league win over Crestwood (Dearborn Heights, MI).

With the defeat, Annapolis drops to 0-7 on the campaign. The Cougars host Romulus (Romulus, MI) to clash with the Eagles in a Western Wayne outing on Friday, October 17. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 3-4. Romulus lost 43-6 in their recent league game against Thurston (Redford, MI)
