In Friday's non-league match, the host Bakersfield Drillers football squad scored a decisive 50-7 triumph over the Centennial Golden Hawks.

The Drillers (6-1) will now prepare for their match against Bakersfield Christian (Bakersfield, CA). The Eagles come into the Southwest Yosemite - Valley challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Bakersfield Christian bounced Highland (Bakersfield, CA), 34-0, in a league challenge.

The Golden Hawks (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Liberty (Bakersfield, CA). The Patriots go into the Southwest Yosemite - River challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, Liberty was ripped by Frontier (Bakersfield, CA), 32-20, in a league challenge.
