California High School Football - Independence beat Centennial

September 5, 2025: Bakersfield, CA 93312

The Independence Falcons football squad scored 38 points and limited the host Centennial Golden Hawks to 13 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Friday.

The Falcons now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stockdale for a non-league test on Friday, September 12. Independence will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 50-14 non-league loss to Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-3.

With the defeat, Centennial drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Golden hawks host Chavez (Delano, CA) to clash with the Titans in a non-league test on Friday, September 12. The Titans enter the game with a record of 0-3. Chavez lost 47-0 in their recent non-league game against Monache (Porterville, CA)
