Bergan Catholic Knights (Fremont, NE) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting Tekamah-Herman Tigers (Tekamah, NE), 1-0 in a league test.

The Knights now hold a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Bend Central for a C2 District 2 test on Friday, October 17. Bergan Catholic will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 46-40 league win over Aquinas (David City, NE). The Tigers record now stands at 3-4.

With the defeat, Tekamah-Herman drops to 2-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Arlington (Arlington, NE) to meet the Eagles in a C2 District 2 test on Friday, October 17. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 4-3. Arlington lost 28-8 in their recent league challenge against Yutan (Yutan, NE)
