The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Oaks Christian Lions (Westlake Village, CA) and the visiting Bishop Diego Cardinals (Santa Barbara, CA), witnessed Oaks Christian's football squad edge Bishop Diego by a count of 14-13.

The Lions (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against St. Bonaventure (Ventura, CA). The Seraphs enter the Marmonte contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, St. Bonaventure was nudged by Pacifica (Oxnard, CA), 24-23, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Cardinals confront the Simi Valley Pioneers (Simi Valley, CA) in a Marmonte contest, on Friday, October 17. Bishop Diego will attempt to advance on its 6-1 season record.
