In Friday's league game, the Clear Spring Blazers (Clear Spring, MD) football team edged the host Smithsburg Leopards (Smithsburg, MD), by a tally of 14-7.

Next, the Blazers clash with the Tussey Mountain Titans (Saxton, PA) in a non-league outing, on Friday, October 17. Clear Spring will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Titans come into the outing with a 5-3 record after their 26-7 league win over Everett (Everett, PA).

With the defeat, Smithsburg drops to 3-3 on the campaign. The Leopards host Catoctin (Thurmont, MD) to battle the Cougars in a non-league contest on Thursday, October 16.
