Council Lumberjacks (Council, ID) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Notus Pirates (Notus, ID), 46-7 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Council advances its record to 5-1 on the season. The Lumberjacks host Salmon River (Riggins, ID) to play the Savages in a 1A Long Pin (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 17. The Savages come into the match with a record of 5-2. Salmon River won 52-50 in their recent league match against Garden Valley (Garden Valley, ID)

Coming up next, the Pirates confront the Idaho City Wildcats (Idaho City, ID) in a 2A - Western Idaho (8 Man) battle, on Friday, October 17. Notus will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Wildcats go into the battle with a 5-1 record after their 62-26 league win over Centennial Baptist (Caldwell, ID).
