The Redford Union Panthers (Redford, MI) football knocked off the visiting Crestwood Chargers (Dearborn Heights, MI), 24-7 in Friday's league contest.

The Panthers (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Melvindale (Melvindale, MI). The Cardinals enter the Western Wayne contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Melvindale gained a win over Annapolis (Dearborn Heights, MI), 26-6, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Chargers battle the Robichaud Bulldogs (Dearborn Heights, MI) in a Western Wayne bout, on Friday, October 17. Crestwood will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 36-7 league win over Garden City (Garden City, MI).
