The DeSoto Thunderbirds walloped the visiting Delta Academy Raiders football team by a score of 48-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Thunderbirds face the Delta Streets Academy Lions (Greenwood, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 17. DeSoto will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Lions go into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 74-38 non-league win over North Sunflower Academy (Drew, MS).

The Raiders (1-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Lee Academy (Marianna, AR). The Cougars come into the non-league outing with a 3-4 record. In their last outing, Lee Academy trounced Marvell Academy (Marvell, AR), 48-8, in a league outing.
