Mount Calm (Mount Calm, TX) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Evant Elks (Evant, TX), 88-54 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Mount Calm advances its record to 5-1 on the year. The travel to Oakwood (Oakwood, TX) to confront the Panthers in a 1A 6 Man 2 Region III District 12 (6 Man) match on Friday, October 24. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 2-4.

Coming up next, the Elks confront the Mullin Bulldogs (Mullin, TX) in a 1A 6 Man 2 Region IV District 14 (6 Man) battle, on Friday, October 17. Evant will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a 1-6 record after their 1-0 league loss to Oglesby (Oglesby, TX).
