The Mount Calm football squad scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Kopperl Eagles to 23 in the non-league win on Friday.

In their next game, the face the Cranfills Gap Lions (Cranfills Gap, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 12. Mount Calm will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Lions go into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 54-8 non-league loss to Blanket (Blanket, TX).

The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lingleville (Lingleville, TX). The Cardinals go into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Lingleville was ripped by Rising Star (Rising Star, TX), 52-6, in a non-league challenge.
