The Hooks Hornets (Hooks, TX) football trounced the host Hughes Springs Mustangs (Hughes Springs, TX), 65-3 in Friday's league outing.

The Hornets now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Daingerfield for a 3A-2 Region III District 10 outing on Friday, October 17. Hooks will battle a Tigers team coming off a 82-14 league win over Queen City (Queen City, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 4-3.
