The New Boston Lions football team (New Boston, TX), was tipped 18-14 in Friday's league bout with the visiting Hooks Hornets (Hooks, TX)

With the win, Hooks advances its record to 5-3 on the season. The Hornets host Redwater (Redwater, TX) to encounter the Dragons in a 3A-2 Region III District 10 bout on Friday, October 31. The Dragons enter the contest with a record of 1-7. Redwater won 60-8 in their recent league contest against Queen City (Queen City, TX)

Coming up next, the Lions confront the Hughes Springs Mustangs (Hughes Springs, TX) in a 3A-2 Region III District 10 battle, on Friday, October 31. New Boston will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Mustangs go into the battle with a 3-5 record after their 72-16 league loss to Daingerfield (Daingerfield, TX).
