The New Boston Lions football team scored 70 points and restricted the host Queen City Bulldogs to 8 in the Lions league win on Friday.

In their next game, the Lions face the Hooks Hornets (Hooks, TX) in a 3A-2 Region III District 10 challenge, on Friday, October 24. New Boston will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Hornets go into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 76-59 league loss to Daingerfield (Daingerfield, TX).

The Bulldogs (0-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Redwater (Redwater, TX). The Dragons go into the 3A-2 Region III District 10 test with a 0-7 record. In their last test, Redwater was overwhelmed by De Kalb (De Kalb, TX), 40-22, in a league test.
