Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Kennedy Cougars (Granada Hills, CA) and the host Sylmar Spartans (Sylmar, CA), saw Kennedy's football team gain a win over Sylmar by a final score of 42-13.

With the win, Kennedy advances its record to 6-1 on the season. The Cougars host Canoga Park (Canoga Park, CA) to encounter the Hunters in a Valley Mission battle on Friday, October 17. The Hunters enter the match with a record of 4-4. Canoga Park lost 36-14 in their recent league match against Van Nuys (Van Nuys, CA)

Coming up next, the Spartans confront the San Fernando Tigers (San Fernando, CA) in a Valley Mission match, on Saturday, October 18. Sylmar will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Tigers go into the battle with a 5-2 record after their 35-14 league win over Panorama (Panorama City, CA).
