October 10, 2025: Carthage, MS 39051 The Leake Central Gators edged the visiting Scott Central Rebels football team by a score of 31-25 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Gators face the West Lauderdale Knights (Collinsville, MS) in a 4A Region 5 challenge, on Friday, October 17. Leake Central will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 22-16 league loss to Newton County (Decatur, MS).
With the defeat, Scott Central drops to 1-6 on the campaign. The Rebels host Newton (Newton, MS) to clash with the Tigers in a 2A Region 5 test on Friday, October 17. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 1-6. Newton lost 48-34 in their recent league test against Pelahatchie (Pelahatchie, MS)
