Ohio High School Football - Licking Heights falls to Mt. Vernon

October 10, 2025: Mt. Vernon, OH 43050

The Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets felled the visiting Licking Heights Hornets football squad by a margin of 42-13 in Friday's league test.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Licking Valley for a Licking County - Buckeye test on Friday, October 17. Mt. Vernon will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 35-14 league win over Granville (Granville, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 8-0.

With the defeat, Licking Heights drops to 1-7 on the season. The Hornets travel to Zanesville (Zanesville, OH) to face the Blue Devils in a Licking County - Buckeye challenge on Friday, October 24. The Blue Devils go into the challenge with a record of 0-8.
