In Friday's non-league game, the University City Centurions (San Diego, CA) football team edged the visiting Madison Warhawks (San Diego, CA), by a tally of 49-45.

In their next game, the Centurions face the Lincoln Hornets (San Diego, CA) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 17. University City will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Hornets come into the outing with a 6-1 record after their 54-3 non-league win over La Jolla (La Jolla, CA).
