The Marion Center Stingers felled the visiting Purchase Line Red Dragons football team by a score of 28-12 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Stingers meet the River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA) in a Heritage challenge, on Friday, October 17. Marion Center will attempt to improve on its 8-0 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 46-14 league win over Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA).

The Red Dragons (2-6) will now prepare for their outing against Portage (Portage, PA). The Mustangs come into the Heritage outing with a 2-6 record. In their last outing, Portage was defeated by United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] (Nanty Glo, PA), 31-0, in a league outing.
