In Friday's league game, the Natalia Mustangs (Natalia, TX) football team edged the visiting Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX), by a tally of 18-15.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Cotulla Cowboys (Cotulla, TX) in a 3A-2 Region IV District 15 game, on Friday, October 17. Natalia will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Cowboys come into the outing with a 2-4 record after their 45-6 league loss to Poth (Poth, TX).
