The Dilley Wolves tipped the visiting Nixon-Smiley Mustangs football squad by a margin of 21-14 in Friday's league outing.

The Wolves now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cotulla for a 3A-2 Region IV District 15 outing on Friday, October 31. Dilley will clash with a Cowboys squad coming off a 62-0 league win over Young Men's Leadership Academy (San Antonio, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 4-4.

With the defeat, Nixon-Smiley drops to 5-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Karnes City (Karnes City, TX) to clash with the Badgers in a 3A-2 Region IV District 15 outing on Friday, October 31. The Badgers come into the outing with a record of 5-3. Karnes City lost 41-31 in their recent league game against Stockdale (Stockdale, TX)
