The New Britain Golden Hurricanes felled the visiting Southington Blue Knights football squad by a margin of 42-14 in Friday's league test.

The Golden Hurricanes now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Glastonbury for a Central Connecticut - Tier 1 test on Thursday, October 23. New Britain will meet a Guardians squad coming off a 16-0 league win over Manchester (Manchester, CT). The Guardians record now stands at 3-2.

With the defeat, Southington drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Blue knights travel to Manchester (Manchester, CT) to face the Red Hawks in a Central Connecticut - Tier 1 challenge on Friday, October 24. The Red Hawks go into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Manchester lost 16-0 in their recent league challenge against Glastonbury (Glastonbury, CT)
