Connecticut High School Football - New Britain holds off Maloney

October 31, 2025: Meriden, CT 06450

The New Britain Golden Hurricanes football squad scored 30 points and limited the host Maloney Spartans to 28 in the Golden Hurricanes league triumph on Friday.

The Golden Hurricanes now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Platt for a non-league test on Friday, November 7. New Britain will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 48-14 non-league loss to Southington (Southington, CT). The Panthers record now stands at 4-3.

The Spartans (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Glastonbury (Glastonbury, CT). The Guardians enter the Central Connecticut - Tier 1 game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, Glastonbury held off Hall (West Hartford, CT), 27-7, in a league outing.
